Loan application and bidding
After you have been given a quotation and you know have an idea of how much money you are looking into having, you can then proceed with the online loan application and the investors will tender to fund your loan. Essentially, should you find a reasonable investor that you can afford and isn’t too pricey on the refunds, you can opt to have a loan with that specific investor.
The money will be available in your bank account
If both parties are happy with the terms and conditions of the loan agreement, the money will be deposited in your bank account and made available for your disposal within 3 days of agreeing to the terms of your loan agreement. It is important that you accept your loan agreement because that is the only way the money will be deposited in your preferred bank account.
Depending on the bank you use and the time the personal loan was accepted, the money may take a few hours to reflect or one or two business days. After this process, you can then make use of the money for your own needs.

How much can I borrow and for how long?
We have personal loans that start from $5000 up to $50 000. The repayment terms also differ between 2, 3 and 5 years.
First time members will get a loan that is slightly lower than $5000 until we have seen their payment patterns. After we have seen how you are paying your short-term loans as a client, we will generally increase or decrease your loan repayments. Therefore, if you want to develop a great relationship with Society One, ensure that you don’t skip your payments and you pay us on time to ensure that your credit record is consistent and without flaw.
Will I be charged an early repayment fee?
Fortunately for our clients, we don’t charge any fees for paying their loan before time. We applaud it instead of asking for fees. Therefore, if you have the money at your disposal, you don’t have to wait for the date of your scheduled payment.
How do I make repayments?
Payments can be made through a direct debit system that makes things easier for all parties. The client can also choose to make payments on a monthly or fortnightly basis.
Can I choose or change my repayment date?
Yes, if you wish to change your online loan repayment date maybe schedule it a bit sooner or later, you can do so by contacting us on 1300 144 221 and we will make the necessary changes for you.
What if I can’t make a payment?
If you have problems paying your payment, you have to notify us on time. Don’t wait for the day of your scheduled payment because we might take it as a missed payment. You will still be liable for penalties because you wouldn’t have stayed faithful to your payment schedule.
How to qualify for a personal loan at Society One?
- Clients must be 21 years or older
- Clients must earn more than $30 000 on a yearly basis. Centrelink benefits can only be considered if they are secondary means of an income
- Clients must be an Australian citizen or a permanent occupant of Australia
